Editor’s Note: The United Nations Correspondents Association held a 71-year celebration at the entrance hall of the United Nations Headquarters on June 19th. UN Secretary-General Guterres attended and delivered a speech. Amina J. Mohammed Deputy Secretary-Generaland and nearly 300 permanent members and ambassadors of the United Nations attended the event. China, Japan, Canada, Italy and other countries have provided delicious food for the guests.
The UNCA president, ANSA news agency Valeria Robecco firstly introduced the development of the association in the past 71 years and thanked China, Japan, Canada, Italy and other countries for the food provided for the event. The Secretary-General of the United Nations Antonio Guterres then made a keynote speech in a lively and interesting manner, congratulating and praising the efforts and contributions of the United Nations Journalists Association in safeguarding freedom of the press and human rights.
The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Guterres, left earlier, and the otherguests continued to enjoy the delicious food and dance with the music. It was very warm and joyful.
