It is no secret that today most of our fellow citizens concern to people with disabilities with pity or an emotional neglect, without understanding that they are those people who deserve the special attitude towards themselves. 
 
Quite often society perceives disabled people as poor - without capabilities, with the lost opportunities which requires material support and the daily help; the person who can't realize himself in society.
 
The principle of respect of features of disabled people and, the main thing, – their perception as parts of mankind is accepted by the United Nations in the Convention on the rights of people with disabilities.
 
It is important that government and nongovernmental organizations, private companies, philanthropists paid attention to motivative and innovative actions for further use of the international standards and standards concerning people with disabilities.
 
 Schools, universities and other educational institutions shall create proper conditions for their training. 
 
Mass media can make especially valuable contribution to case of support them not only in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, but also during the whole year to distribute information on disability, shortcomings of medical services, imperfection of education and professional training; 
 
to report about the achievements and problems arising when carrying out social policy about the programs and projects directed to support of disabled people  to promote understanding by society of need of not just abstract humane attitude towards people with disabilities, and the specific active help to it, their activities are limited to physical, social, psychological and other barriers.
 
We live during an era of high technologies and computer communications. 
 
It is a unique opportunity to create all conditions for full activity of people with disabilities, to provide them with work and to use all their intellectual potential.
 
We can fight with homelessness only by providing better life for vulnerable groups, who need our support like nobody else. And of course the main reason of homelessness is poverty. Poverty is the first goal of Sustainable Development program of the United Nations. 
 
1). “Sail of Hope” - is the 1st non-profit organization from Russia in the Global Water Partnership. “School of water” program is a public initiative to protect the environmental. By participating in environmental actions, disabled people gain knowledge and skills that bring them to the forefront og the fight for the environmental. 
 
2). The program “New opportunities in inclusive Russia”offers a mobile and replicable system of accompanied employment in the Moscow metropolis. 
• Social case management-social support of small and medium-sized businesses, industrial enterprises to create jobs for disabled people. 
• Social marketing-resource of the territory, the passport of the territory by resources and industries. 
 
3). “School Navigator” in the world of professionals. 
The main idea is that we are surrounded by people whom we can help, because we have certain opportunities and resources
• Professional knowledge
• Free time
• Material resources.
 
We have 7 modules of professional practices that open prospects for people with disabilities.  
 
- Social support of vulnerable groups always develops society in general 
- Creation new jobs opportunities develops economic situation 
- We can reduce poverty , we can fight with homelessness.

Nomma Zarubina was born in Siberia , Russia. Now she lives in New York and she is an additional representative of nongovernmental organization "Sail of Hope" to the United Nations in ECOSOC.
