UN New Media WPTV（NGO） Editor's note： Yesterday,(Aug 31st) the Permanent Mission of India to the United Nations sent two letters to the President Tijjani Muhammad-Bande the United Nations General Assembly on behalf of the Group of Four (India, Germany, Brazil and Japan) Call for reform of the UN Security Council seats，We are now following up the email sent by the Indian delegation to compile the report，The letters content is roughly as follows:
The Permanent Mission of India to the UN on behalf of the Group of Four countries, writes to the President of the UNGA requesting reform of the Security Council seats
One from India addressed to the President of the General Assembly, and another again from India on behalf of the G-4 (India, Germany, Brazil and Japan) addressed to the President of the General Assembly regarding the Inter-Governmental Negotiations on the Question of Equitable Representation on and Increase in the Membership of the Security Council and Related Matters.
Both the letters make a common point which is to demand tangible action for the reform of the UN Security Council in line with the 'Common African Position', and not let the process be held hostage by those who do not want a reform. As may be recalled, the process of IGN meetings has been going on for over a decade (since 2009) with practically no progress.
