His excellency Mr. Valiev Radzhiv Abdullaevich

Hello dear delegates, ladies and gentlemen!

It is a great honor for me today make a speech from the rostrum of the UN General Assembly in the framework of the 76th session on behalf of the “Sail of Hope” Interregional Charitable Public Organization for Assistance to Persons with Disabilities, as well as from the International Alliance of BRICS Strategic Projects, headed by Larisa Nikolaevna Zelentsova, we express our gratitude for this opportunity  to the organizers and the President of the UN General Assembly, His Excellency Mr. Abdullah Shahid and the Secretary General, His Excellency Mr. Antonio Guterres and all other participants.
Our gathering in this room today symbolizes the collective determination to restore the lively dialogue interrupted since the outbreak of the COVID 19 pandemic.

The wide reach and cooperation of the United Nations is especially in demand now, when the number of problems on global agendas continues to grow and the role of civil society participation in advancing the UN mission is more relevant than ever for building a happy, democratic, inclusive future.

In an era of constant change, uncertainty and a growing gap in society between rich and poor, the role of the formation of young people and their correct adaptation to life is one of the priority tasks of all governments in the world.

Important topics on today's agenda are the challenges we face today: unemployment, poverty, early marriage, child pregnancy, discrimination, inclusive education and the rights of people with disabilities.  We must strengthen our efforts to combat discrimination and stigma.

Speaking of modern challenges, one thing remains unchanged - this is the Covid19 pandemic and its consequences, which have affected all aspects of human life, without choosing a nation and religion, social services.  status, etc.  We have found ourselves equal in the face of this threat, and we must address it equally and in unity.

The statistics of the lives taken away are not just numbers, they are real people who had the same right to life as everyone present in the hall.  This fate affected many families, including mine, where a personal tragedy was the loss of my beloved father, a brilliant doctor - Valiyev Abdulla Rajapovich, who devoted his whole life to serving the people, in accordance with the Hippocratic oath.

According to rule 62-30 I want to ask the chairman Gen. Assemblies to support the idea just before the closing of the final plenary meeting of the General Assembly session by inviting representatives to observe a minute of silence of prayer and reflection - and to commemorate this moment of silence in honor of the victims of Covid19.  And let this minute be an occasion for all of us to think once again about not repeating and not allowing humanity to similar phenomena again.

I appeal to unite efforts and support each other, and only in this way, together we can come to a common denominator in the development of human happiness and strengthen the role of the United Nations Organization!

“As a citizen of the World, born in beautiful Uzbekistan, educated in Russia and living in the Great United States, Please - let us value humanity above all else” I wish you good luck and prosperity on the path of the UN revival.  Thank you all for your attention! Sincerely…
