UN new media(NGO) Peace everTV commentator: The 75th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations and the annual United Nations General Assembly will be formally held at the United Nations headquarters on September 21.
 
In order to celebrate this grand meeting of the United Nations, the famous Hong Kong painter Ran Duowen specially created the title UN series of paintings with the theme of "UN`s Mission".  uses the artist’s unique international perspective and artistic aesthetic painting language to focus on the important work characteristics of the United Nations that are in line with current international affairs, such as the fight against the Covid virus, peacekeeping operations, refugee relief, climate action,  protection of the rights and interests of women and children, the protection of human rights and freedom of the press reveal and reflect the many epoch-making levels led by the United Nations in countries around the world.
 
 It makes us feel the important role and achievements the United Nations has played in maintaining world peace and various international affairs  great achievement over the past 75 years.
 
Since the outbreak of the Covid-19 virus, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has been leading the fight against the Covid  virus in various UN agencies, holding news briefings and delivering important speeches from time to time.
 
When talking about the new crown virus Covid-19, the Secretary-General said: "Urban areas are ground zero of the COVID-19 pandemic, with 90 per cent of reported cases. 
 
Cities are bearing the brunt of the crisis – many with strained health systems,inadequate water and sanitation services, and other challenges.
 
This is especially the case in poorer areas, where the pandemic has exposed deeply ooted inequalities. But cities are also home to extraordinary solidarity and resilience.
 
Strangers helping each other, streets cheering in support of essential workers, local businesses donating life-saving supplies.
 
We have seen the best of the human spirit on display."
 
We are here to publish a group of paintings by painter Ran Duowen reflecting on the fight against the Covid virus Covid-19 under the leadership of the United Nations. We feel the sense of mission as an artist to shoulder social responsibility, just like the UN Secretary-General Guterres said. "We have seen the best of the human spirit on display. "
