 Global Leadership Coalition 2016 Entrepreneur Showcase in UN CR 12

  Global Leadership Coalition at UN Headquarters as they introduce the winning start-up businesses of young leaders from Ghana and the Caribbean as part of the 2016 Entrepreneurship Challenge!
  The featured entrepreneurs were selected from a group of over 100 budding leaders and entrepreneurs after responding to a call for proposals and going through a competitive selection process. They participated in a rigorous leadership and entrepreneurship training and internship program led by the Global Leadership Coalition in collaboration with its partners: The Caribbean Center of Excellence for Sustainable Livelihoods, (COESL), Terry Mante Exchange, Orios Group, and in technical partnership with 1M1B Foundation for entrepreneurship development.
 Each of the projects has contributed to generating achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, including employment in their communities. The event give the feature Civil Society organizations, the private sector, UN Officials and Delegates, as well as an opportunity to hear directly from the featured participants.
Attendance peoples are vital to expose these young leaders and entrepreneurs and their social ventures to the broader world, and to create an opportunity to make direct contact with interested supporters. In addition, the event  serve to inspire other entrepreneurial young leaders looking to start social businesses in their own communities.
This event is convened by the Permanent Mission of Ghana to the United Nations, and presented by the Global Leadership Coalition, and it aims to demonstrate how young, entrepreneurial leaders can contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, Agenda 2030, adopted by the Member Nations of the U.N. in September 2015.
