PeaceEver TV reporting from the Malawi Mission to the United Nations: PeaceEver International TV Outreach Director Nadia Tian visited the Malawi Mission to the United Nations after attending the Africa Agriculture Business Summit held at the UN headquarters. She interviewed Dr. Rita Cooma regarding the Early Childhood Development, Adolescence Education, and Youth Empowerment (ECDAEYE) Campaign.
Dr. Cooma has been working on Africa issues for the past 20 years through research and fieldwork and has come to a point when she is specifically interested in education. The key driver for this ECDAEYE campaign is the education for the adolescence girls. The campaign is using education as a form of empowerment for women, children, and teenagers. Dr. Cooma believes that education is the most effective transformation tool to help achieve the long-term sustainability of human development in Malawi.
Dr. Cooma was interviewed by CCTV in Oct 2009 during the China-Africa Business Summit in Cape Town, South Africa. She presented a more sustainable China-Africa business model to create changes through relationships with Africa’s local human resources.
